Veteran Suicide Awareness and Prevention

Veteran suicide is a heartbreaking outcome that is all too common among former US Armed Forces personnel. In 2014, the Department of Veterans Affairs estimated an average of 20 Veterans died each day from suicide. Of that total, 65% were over the age of 50.

A single veteran suicide is one too many, which is why the VA, VAGBSA and other organizations are working to raise awareness about veteran suicide and offer support services for at-risk individuals and their families.
